Book Your Family Session
Coordinating outfits for your family photo session can sometimes feel challenging, but I’m here to help.
After you book your session, I'll send you a questionnaire to gather information that will help me personalize your session for your family. Along with the questionnaire, I'll provide tips for getting ready, including outfit suggestions. I'll then select a beautiful outdoor location for your photographs.
You can relax and let me handle the details. Your role is simply to arrive and enjoy the experience.

Once your family session is booked, I'll provide you with helpful tips to prepare for a smooth and enjoyable experience. This includes advice on what to expect during the session and suggestions for choosing outfits that photograph well.
I'll also offer guidance on how to help your children feel comfortable and relaxed, ensuring we capture natural and genuine moments. My goal is to make the process as stress-free as possible, allowing you to focus on creating beautiful memories with your family.

During your family session, we'll explore a beautiful location together, capturing your family's authentic interactions and laughter. I'll use a combination of prompts and gently guided poses to help you feel at ease and showcase your love and connection as a family.
Whether you're looking for a fun and playful session or a more intimate and emotional one, I'll work with you to create a personalized experience that perfectly captures your family's story. So, let's have some fun, make some memories, and create beautiful images that you'll treasure for years to come.

After Your Family Session
Following your photo session, you'll receive an online gallery link within three weeks to view your images and select your favorites.
I believe in providing you with options to best preserve your family's memories. Therefore, each session package includes a product credit that can be applied towards high-quality prints or additional digital files, giving you flexibility in how you choose to enjoy your photographs.
You'll receive detailed information regarding the product credit and how to redeem it when your gallery is delivered.
My goal is to provide you with beautiful images that capture the essence of your family, and the flexibility to choose how you want to enjoy them.

Once you book your session, I will send you the Digital Style Guide to help you prepare for the session which includes wardrobe styling advice. One of my tips is that I recommend your family wears colours and outfits that compliment one another instead of matching.

The location we use for your family photos will depend on the look and feel of the images you want to create as well as the time of day for best lighting.
I dive into this topic in your pre-session questionnaire and your preferences will help me determine the best options for your family. We will make sure to find a location that is absolutely perfect for your family.

I love when family dogs join the photo session! I recommend bringing some favourite treats or squeaky toys to help me get your pup's attention.

The booking process is very easy and straightforward. Once your family has decided to schedule your session with me, I send you a link to my booking calendar where you can choose the best available date and time that works for your family. I also ask a few questions at the time of booking through the questionnaire to learn more about your family and the images you wish to create to recommend the best meeting location for your family's photos. A $200 non-refundable booking deposit is also required to secure your family session date and time, with the remaining balance of the session due 24 hours prior to your scheduled session.

The forecast can be consistently unreliable for Victoria, so I always check multiple hourly forecasts first thing the day of a scheduled shoot to see how things are looking. If the weather looks less than ideal for your scheduled time, I will reach out to discuss rescheduling options.

I live in Langford, BC and my outdoor family photo sessions typically take place within the greater Victoria area to incorporate the stunning Vancouver Island landscapes. Travel fees apply for sessions more than 30 km outside of the V9B area code.

RAW and unedited files are not included in family sessions. Hiring a professional photographer means receiving a professional experience from start to finish. Each family session package includes a specific number of full resolution, retouched JPEG images with options available to purchase additional full resolution, retouched JPEG files.

The images you choose that are included in your session as well as any additional orders you may wish to make at that time will be archived for 1 year. Images that are not purchased at the time of image selection will not be retrievable at a later date.
